How we research and choose
Every pick here is chosen by hand, by a real person, for one reason: it makes an older adult's day a little safer or easier. Here is how we decide what makes the cut.

Who chooses these products
Caring Curator is run by Austin, a real person, not a faceless brand. Picks are chosen and written by hand, drawing on common challenges that older adults and their families face every day. You can read more on the about page.
How we evaluate a product
Before something earns a spot, we ask three simple questions:
- Does it solve a real, common problem for older adults?
- Is it safe, sturdy, and simple enough to actually use?
- Would we put it in our own parent's home?
We favor products that are well established and widely owned, read what real buyers say about durability and ease of use, and prefer designs that need less strength, dexterity, or fiddly setup. If something does not earn its place, we leave it off rather than pad the list.
How we stay honest
- We earn a small commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It comes out of Amazon's margin, never your price.
- Commission never decides what we recommend, and nobody can pay for a spot or a better placement.
- We do not show prices here. Amazon always displays the current, accurate price and reviews when you click through.
- Our links go straight to Amazon, with no cloaking or third-party shorteners. See our full disclosure.
What this is not
